I love coconut oil, too! Great to use as a deep conditioner for damaged hair. I put it on my heels when they get dried and cracked. And it's a main ingredient in my vegetarian soap recipe!

I love Jarrow Formula. It's 100% organic/vegan/expeller pressed/extra virgin and relatively inexpensive and I get it at Henry's or Whole Foods. (Tastes great as well). There are a few other brands that I've tried that are wonderful but more expensive.

I normally get Nutiva just because it is easy to find, relatively cheap, and it's organic, cold-pressed, and extra-virgin.

I tried Artisana once, which is a great brand of nut butters, generally speaking. But their coconut oil was spoiled - it was a weird tan color, with fuzzy whiteness on top, and it tasted just awful. I returned it to the store. Whenever I have looked at their coconut oil, they always have that look to them. I realize it might be in my head, but I'm permanently scarred. However, their nut butters truly are amazing so I'm not saying no one should ever buy their products!

I always knew about coconut oil as a moisturizer. I think and a healing agent for scars. I think I used it a gazillion years ago after my surgery to help heal the scar tissue.

The virus buster thing is fascinating. I think I will get myself some to have on hand. Do you recommend any particular brand?

You have such a creative way of exploring the world and you have learned to listen to your body. We'd be a healthier happier world if more of us knew how to do that.
