Sadie was wondering my neighborhood in early November 2001, just after a severe thunderstorm.
She had a collar and was very comfortable around people, so we figured she had jumped
her fence and someone in the neighborhood would be looking for her. Her tags were
several years out of date so the city could no longer tell us who she belonged to. We
hung up signs, placed ads in the newpapers, checked the lost dogs listings at the shelter,
and sent out emails to the neighborhood email list as well as to
Austin Pets Alive.
But no one has responded. If Sadie did have a home, then her family did not try very hard to
find her.
Sadie has been adopted into a loving home with a huge yard and a friendly neighbor dog to play with.
