Midget's and Skippy's Siblings

You my notice that their names are descriptive but not very inventive. This is how it goes around here with animals we take in but don't plan to keep. We wind up calling them by whatever name first comes out of our mouth and sticks.

All of these dogs have now been adopted!!!

Special thanks to Underdog Rescue for posting these dogs on their site and to Austin Pets Alive! for inviting me to numerous adoption days, finding temporary foster homes while the dogs were in danger, and for finding potential adopters.

Foxxy Foxxy is rather shy, but sweet. He isn't as rambunctious as the other dogs. When he saw me coming, he would roll over to have his belly rubbed. He is still nervous around new people but he warms up fairly quickly. Foxxy is now in his permanent home with his new dog friend, Mr. Bingly.

Scruffy Scruffy is relatively outgoing. He followed in Papa Dog's footsteps, walking freely into my house as though he had always lived here. Although he won't walk up to strangers, he is pretty calm if one forces love on him. He is now in a safe loving home with a huge fenced yard.

Emu Emu is Midget's only surviving sister. She loves belly rubs. She is used to being around lots of different people and warms up fairly quickly. Emu was adopted in June of 2000 and now plays constantly wth her new doggy friend Reverend. When she moved into her new home, she acted as though she had been living there her whole life.

People always ask me what breed of dogs these are. So here is the list of possible breeds that went into the mix based on what I have seen and others have suggested. Email me if you have other thoughts:

Chihuaha, Llaso Apsa, Sheltie, King Charles Cavalier, Spaniel, Jack Russel terrier, Papillon, Whippet.
