The five puppies and one of the papa dogs were fixed and vaccinated. In early October,the mama dog, Stripe, had another litter of puppies - 4 girls and 4 boys. Homes were found for them as soon as they went up for adoption. Soon after, Stripe was finally caught, spayed, and vaccinated.

But there was no fence there to stop them from running into the street. December 18th, Papa Dog was hit by a car and killed instantly. He was a terrific little guy and is greatly missed.

After that incident, I found safe foster homes for two of the puppies and was able to keep an eye on the remaining three. Now that we have moved into a new house with a big fenced yard, the animals are safe from cars and cold-hearted people. Midget and Skippy now reside with me permanently.
